LINDSBORG — Bethany College women’s basketball coach Brett Morehouse has been relentless on the recruiting trail as he has announced yet another signing.
RheaDawn Chiles of Denver is the late recruit to ink her letter of intent.
Chiles is a 5-9 shooting guard who prepped at Denver East High School. As a senior, her team posted a 20-4 record. She shot 41 percent from 3-point range and 43 percent overall. She averaged 4 points per game and 2.1 rebounds.
She also competed in track and field, while away from the sports arena she’s involved in speech and debate.
"We are pleased to welcome RheaDawn Chiles to the Bethany College community," Morehouse said. "Rhea comes to us from a very successful 5A high school in the Denver area and we think that will be a benefit for her as she transitions to the college level. At 5-9, she has great size and length for a perimeter player and she already has the ability to stretch defenses with her perimeter shooting. Rhea has a lot of untapped potential and we look forward to helping her expand her skill set over the next four years."
She is the daughter of Denise Chiles. She has a 3.4 grade point average and will major in business.
