ELLSWORTH – Little River’s baseball team put the finishing touches on a 15-5 regular season Tuesday with a sweep of Ellsworth.

The Redskins lambasted the Bearcats 12-1 in the first game, highlighted by a seven-run second inning.

Little River amassed 11 hits, including three by Laramie Peters, and two apiece by Cordell Moore and Tanner Schafer. Dalton Arnold and Damien Martinez drove in two runs apiece. Moore and Jj Porter both roped doubles.

Moore fanned seven in five innings and allowed only four hits to earn the victory.

Little River struck early in the second game as well, scoring all nine of its runs in the first three innings as the impetus for a 9-4 triumph.

Arnold and Kyler Cox stroked two hits apiece, with Cox driving in two runs. Grant Harvey pitched four innings and Levi Swenson three.

Little River now awaits its regional pairing. It plays in the Class 2-1A event hosted next week by Moundridge.
