CCC Victory Soccer Camp reaches milestone

Central Christian College’s Victory Soccer Camp hits a milestone this summer.

This will be the 20th straight summer that Central has hosted the annual boys and girls soccer camps.

Then-CCC men's soccer coach Emir Esparza started the camp. After he moved on, the camp was continued by longtime CCC women's soccer coach Mike Reimer, who has since in turn handed the reigns to current men's soccer coach Aaron Hoxie.

This is Hoxie’s second year and while the overall mission of the camp has remained unchanged, he has added new elements that he has brought with him from his experience working camps back in Virginia.

CCC will be partnering with the local McPherson Recreation Commission (MRC) to host this year's camp. Hoxie approached the MRC with the partnership idea last year because he felt like it was counterproductive for two Christian organizations to be competing with each other for camp time. Hoxie felt like the McPherson community would be better served if the two would partner together to give the children in McPherson a high-quality, affordable camp.

This year's camp is slated for June 8-12, and is for players 7-18. Check out more information on the college’s website atwww.ccctigers.com.
