McPherson Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Trenton Van Eaton, MD, to a full-time clinical staff position at the hospital. As a practitioner under the McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates clinics, Dr. Van Eaton will locate a family practice clinic on the fourth floor of the South Annex, which is the former county hospital building, beginning Tuesday, June 9.
The other McPherson Medical and Surgical Associates clinics are the surgery clinic with Dr. Tyler Hughes and Dr. Clayton Fetsch, internal medicine clinic with Dr. Samuel Claassen and family medicine physicians Dr. Andrea Herrera and Dr. Dan Lichty. This brings to eight the total number of physicians practicing within the hospital facility which also includes hospitalists Dr. Michael Bloustine and Dr. Delane Vaughn.
GraduatingSumma Cum Laude in Biology from Fort Hays State University in 1998, Dr. Van Eaton then attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, graduating in 2002. He completed his residency at the Family Medicine Residency Training Program of the University of Kansas (Wichita)/Via Christi Hospitals Wichita Program in 2005.
He has been a family medicine physician at the Comcare PA Clinic in Minneapolis, Kansas, has served on the medical staff of Salina Regional Medical Center and held privileges at Ottawa County Hospital in Minneapolis. Dr. Van Eaton is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Hehas been described by his peers as “very down-to-earth, thorough, knowledgeable and genuine.” Dr. Van Eaton is married and has three children.
