A rash of upsets has elevated Inman’s baseball team to the No. 4 seed for the Class 2-1A State Tournament in Great Bend next week despite the fact the Teutons are just 13-10.
Inman will take on defending champion Pittsburg Colgan (11-11) at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Also in that bracket at 11:00, top-seed Troy (20-0) takes on Sacred Heart (8-13). The two winners meet at 11 a.m. Friday.
In the bottom half of the bracket Thursday, Medicine Lodge (17-4) plays Olathe Christian (10-13) at 4 p.m., with Moscow (17-5) clashing with Oxford (11-11) in the final game of the day.
Semifinals are 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. The third-place game is 4 p.m. and the finals are set for 6:30.
