Moundridge’s girls softball team is the No. 7 seed for the Class 2-1A State Tournament and it’s away from heavy favorite Chase County.
The Wildcats (14-9) take on Medicine Lodge (19-2) at 5 p.m. Thursday in Pratt. Also in Moundridge’s half of the draw is a game matching Dexter-Cedar Vale (20-3) against Ell-Saline (17-4).
On the top side of the bracket, 23-0 Chase County plays Pittsburg Colgan (6-17) at 5 p.m., while Yates Center (19-4) plays McLouth (19-4).
Semifinals are set for 11 a.m. Friday. The third-place game is 1 p.m., with the finals at 2 p.m. as two fields are being used.
