DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Bethany College golfer Jose Acevedo finished an amazing week in style on Friday in the NAIA National Championships.
Acevedo saved his best for last as his fourth-round 69 gave him a four-day total of 3-under-par 285, good for a tie for sixth place out of 93 players. He made the National All-Tournament Team.
His earlier rounds had been 74-71-71.
Here are the other Swede scores. Bethany finished in 17th place as a team.

Tournament medalist was Sean Elliott of Dalton State with rounds of 68-69-65-70 for a 272, good for an eight-stroke victory. Coastal Georgia won the team title.
The tournament concluded the coaching career of Bethany’s Jon Daniels, who had led the team since 1993. Daniels announced his resignation halfway through the season.
