The Elite Eight is set and after Tuesday it will be down to the Final Four.

McPherson High’s girls soccer team will host Wichita Trinity Academy at 7 p.m. in the Class 4-1A state quarterfinals at McPherson Stadium. MHS is 13-3-1 on the season, while Trinity is a deceiving 6-11. The Knights blasted Winfield 8-0 in their semifinal on Thursday, while the Bullpups had to get past upset-minded Rose Hill 2-1 in overtime on a goal by freshman Jessie Kynsaston, her second of the game.

Also on Tuesday in this part of the state, Thomas More Prep (12-3-1) hosts Topeka Hayden (13-5).

In the other half of the state, Bishop Miege (14-4) entertains Kansas City Piper (11-4-1) in one semifinal, while DeSoto (13-4-1) welcomes Spring Hill (13-5).

Tuesday’s four winners will converge on McPherson Stadium for the Final Four on Friday and Saturday. The No. 1 seed from the West plays the No. 2 seed from the East and vice versa.
