The Class 4A State Golf Tournament, scheduled for Tuesday at Turkey Creek, has been postponed until Wednesday.

The same tee times will remain in effect, with the first groups going off at 8:30 a.m. on Nos. 1 and 10. The final group goes off at 10:30, which includes the medalists from last week’s regionals.

This afternoon’s late rain was the final straw, as tournament officials decided to give the course a day to dry out since there is little to no rain in the forecast. Most of the teams were on the course for practice rounds today.

This is the second time Turkey Creek has hosted a state tournament that has had to endure a postponement. It’s the fifth time overall the course has been a state site.

McPherson has two golfers in the tournament, CJ Steiner and Kaden Warren.
