Use of Coasters, Roller Skates, & Similar Devices Restricted (STO #136)
Loose meaning: Any roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, toy vehicles or scooters which are not motorized may not be ridden or used in any McPherson street, other than to cross the street at a crosswalk. Their use is also prohibited on sidewalks in the business district (Main Street between Woodside and Bishop Streets). McPherson KS Police Departmentencourages the use of protective equipment when using any of the items mentioned –especially, for new or younger riders, though it’s not required. In McPherson, use of these devices is a non-moving violation with a fine amount of $30, plus $55 court costs.
