The City of McPherson will spray for mosquitoes Tuesday evening between 8 p.m. and midnight in public areas.
According to McPherson City Public Lands and Facilities Director Wayne Burns, this is being done to help combat the significant breeding issue that has arisen following the recent heavy rainfall that central Kansas has experienced over the last few weeks.
Residents, especially those with asthma or respiratory sensitivity, should remain indoors during the spraying. Windows and doors should be closed, as well as vents to the outside and window air-conditioner units should be turned off.
