LINDSBORG — Another day, another signing for Bethany College men’s basketball coach Clair Oleen.
Joseph Cullen of Royal Valley High School will be joining the Swedes for the upcoming season.
The 6-5 Cullen earned first-team Jackson County honors and honorable mention Big 7 League.
He averaged 6.1 points per game and 5.2 rebounds, while shooting 53 percent from the field. He blocked 72 shots.
He also competed in track and field during his high school career.
“We are pleased that Joe Cullen is going to continue his education at Bethany College and join Bethany basketball," Oleen said. "Joe just started playing basketball his sophomore year in high school, so we look forward to working with him as he continues to develop as a player. Joe brings some needed size to our junior varsity team as a freshman. This young man will just continue getting better and is already an incredible shot-blocker."
He is the son of Jessica and Matthew Cullen and will major in history.
