LINDSBORG — It doesn’t seem to matter what the sport is, Bethany College athletic recruiting is booming.

This time it’s the volleyball team.

A'jia Hamlin of Junction City has signed her letter of intent to play at Bethany.

She is a transfer from Cloud County Community College, and is an outside hitter and defensive specialist.

She was a three-year standout at Junction City and also was a varsity track athlete for four years with her specialty the high jump, which helps her in volleyball. Away from sports she participated in debate.

"We are happy to add A'jia to our incoming class. She is explosive due to her track background and she is also very vocal,” new Bethany coach Cheri Lindsay said. “She will be a great addition to the team.”

A'jia is the daughter of Dawn Meadows and Tyrone Hamlin. She plans to major in forensic science.
