McPherson County Republicans set county attorney convention

The McPherson County Republican Party has announced the dates for the convention to replace McPherson County Attorney David Page.

County party chair Dave Bohnenblust said in a press release that the elected precinct members will convene June 30 at 7 p.m. at the Well on North Main in McPherson to choose Page's replacement, who will serve until January 9, 2017.

The four candidates so far who have thrown their names into the mix are Justin Bravi, a Hutchinson and Salina assistant public defender, local attorney Torrance Parkins, current McPherson County Deputy Attorney Jamie Karasek and Harvey County Assistant Attorney Jason Lane.

The public is invited to watch the proceedings, through only the 60 elected personnel may vote.
