Misspelled signs on Interstate Highway 135 near Lindsborg will finally be replaced at no extra cost.
According to the Salina Journal, Signs for the exits onto Smoky Valley Road just to the south of Lindsborg were mistakenly put in place with the word Smoky spelled as Smokey. A total of six signs, three on the northbound and three on the southbound lanes, were shipped with the wrong spelling.
The Kansas Department of Transportation realized the mistake right away, but the replacement signs were erroneously shipped to Texas.
The new signs will be replaced as soon as they arrive from Texas.
