A new Habitat for Humanity home is set to get underway soon here in McPherson.
Bill Parker with Habitat for Humanity says that, originally, the home was to have been on a lot in the 500 block of South Ash.
“That's a long and narrow lot,” Parker said. “It would be more beneficial to us to have that on Seitz [Street]. So that address has been converted to 121 East Seitz. That allows us to build a ranch-style home there.”
Parker says he anticipates the start of construction to begin with the digging of the basement either late this week or next.
This home will bring the total Habitat homes in McPherson County up to 26.
