LINDSBORG — The state of Colorado continues to be a gold mine for Bethany College men’s basketball coach Clair Oleen.
The Swede coach today announced yet another signing from Colorado with the addition of Tyler Larkin of Aurora.
"We are pleased to have Tyler Larkin transfer to Bethany College to continue his education and college basketball career,” Oleen said. “Tyler joins us after redshirting last year at Ranger CC in Texas. Tyler had a fine career and senior year at Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora and now he joins our growing group of ‘Colorado Swedes’.”
Larkin, a 6-0 guard, was a two-year starter for Cherokee Trail and averaged nearly 9 points and 3 rebounds a game his senior season. He also dished out 3.3 assists per game, while shooting better than 40 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line.
Larkin made the honor roll at Cherokee Trail, and was a member of DECA, the IB Program and the Kappa League.
“Tyler is a super young man and has a super family who support him. We welcome them all to the Bethany basketball family,” Oleen said.
Tyler is the son of William and Yolanda Larkin. He had a 3.7 grade point average and wants to go into pharmacy after studying biology at Bethany College.
