LINDSBORG — Just because it’s getting closer to the start of school, that doesn’t mean Bethany College men’s soccer coach Shane Taylor is done finalizing his roster for the upcoming season.

It was announced today that Charles Kalian has signed a letter of intent, as the start of the season is little over six weeks away.

Kalian, a 5-10 defender from Little Elm, Texas, comes to Bethany from Lone Star High School.

He was a starter and captain on the varsity soccer team, earning second-team All-Division honors. In addition, he was a four-year starter on the Liverpool Melia 96B team.

"We are very excited to have Charlie joining our team and college," Taylor said. "He is a smart player with good pace and will bolster our back line."

Kalian is the son of Mary Ann Kalian. He carried a 3.2 grade point average and plans to major in chemistry.
