BUHLER — When Buhler’s Jessica Steffen plays against McPherson High in girls basketball this upcoming season, she will do so with her future plans already determined.

According to Catchitkansas.com  today, Steffen has announced she will be attending Yale during the 2016-17 school year.

Steffen revealed her decision on Twitter, saying: "Blessed & super pumped to announce that I've verbally committed to Yale to study & play basketball at the best univ. in the nation #Nation"

Steffen was All-State in basketball this past season and the Crusaders’ games with McPherson in her career have been epics. After some disappointments against the Bullpups in her previous years, Buhler won two of three games this past season, including the sub-state championship game wher she scored the deciding points.

Steffen also is a star in tennis, as she was part of the state championship doubles team her junior year.
