McPherson College’s women’s tennis team has added some international flavor.
Bulldog head coach Justin Stuckey has announced that Zoe Boumeester of The Netherlands will be joining the Bulldogs for the upcoming season.
Mac has qualified for the national tournament each of the last two years and the addition of Boumeester enhances its chances of making it a three-peat.
"During the recruiting process it was very obvious from even our first conversation that Zoe is a very hard worker in the classroom and on the tennis court," Stuckey said. "Zoe is a very talented tennis player that will make an immediate impact in our conference. We feel very lucky to have Zoe accept our offer to come to McPherson."
Boumeester has played competitive tennis at the national level in juniors all through high school and was a ranked player. She has been coached by Eddy School and has trained at Zutphen tennis club.
She is the daughter of Eric Boumeester and Judith Wanjala and plans to major in business.
