McPherson Law Enforcement Center experiencing phone glitch

The administrative lines into the McPherson County Law Enforcement Center are experiencing some technical issues this morning.

According to a post on the McPherson County 911 Facebook page, customers of Cox Communications are experiencing issues dialing into the Law Enforcement Center and the McPherson County Courthouse. This effects the main 245-1200 line, as well as a few other administrative lines at the LEC and all courthouse lines.

McPherson County Communications does stress that 911 is working properly as of 8 a.m.

If you need to get in touch with the LEC and are on Cox Communications, it is recommended you use a non-Cox line, such as a cell phone. If that is not possible, dispatch can be contacted by calling 911, though that should be a last resort.

McPherson County LEC IT is working with Cox to determine the nature of issue to restore full service.
