You know it’s getting close to the fall sports season when the KCAC announces the date for its annual Football Media Day.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 7 at the Hotel at Old Town in Wichita. It begins at 11 a.m.

Head coaches from the KCAC schools will speak to the media about their prospects for the upcoming season.

At the end of the orations, there will be polls as voted on by the coaches and media.

Mid-Kansas Radio’s Chris Swick and Steve Sell will be attending the event and they’ll give a full wrap-up of the activities both on the air and online at www.midkansasonline.com.

Media and fans can submit questions to the coaches of their favorite KCAC teams and possibly have that question answered as part of the Media Day press conference. Questions can be submitted through the official KCAC Facebook account by posting in the comments section of the corresponding post or to the KCAC's Twitter feed using the tag: #KCACFB with a deadline of Aug. 6.

The event will be available streamed live via the KCAC Digital Network starting at 11:30 a.m.
