Believe it or not, McPherson High School Reunion weekend is only a little over a week away.

As part of the weekend-long festivities, McPherson Museum Director Anna Ruxlow says the museum will have two prints from the USD 418 art collection on show that were conserved last year from the reunion classses.

“Birger Sandzen's 'Sunshine Creek' was conserved by the DeCorsey family,” Ruxlow said. “And 'The Thames at Rotherhithe' was conserved by students of the Class of [1974] for Roxanne Sellberg. Those will both be on exhibit.”

Ruxlow says that admission will be free to reunion attendees next weekend. And, while there, you can see the restored center-court circle of the McPherson High School Roundhouse that had been preserved by Gary Casebeer, Roy Sherman, Mike Rausch, DeWayne Herrs and Mark Heidebrecht.

“It is up on the wall,” Ruxlow said. “It is next to the Globe Refiners in the Pride of McPherson area.”
