USD 418 has been fully reimbursed by the former associate superintendent accused of misusing district credit cards.

McPherson Superintendent Mark Crawford told the Hutchinson News that the full amount owed by Chris Ruder, a total of $4,192.70, was received last week.

Ruder was the focus of an investigation by district auditors in June after red flags were noticed on the district charge card account. Ruder resigned from USD 418 June 29 with the mandate that he repay the district restitution. He repaid $683.93 upon his suspension June 23.

The News also reported that Ruder's wife, Kristin, has resigned her post with the Buhler school district, announcing in a letter that the pair are moving to Oklahoma, where she plans to teach third grade.

The issue had been turned over to the McPherson Police Department for further investigation. There has been no update as to the status of that investigation.
