FRISCO, Texas — A group of talented Kansas All-State girls basketball players united their talents recently to compete in two tournaments held in Frisco, Texas.
Bullpup All-Staters Taylor Robertson and Mandi Cooks headlined the team along with Derby’s Kennedy Brown, Allya Myers and Tor’E Alford, DesiRay Kernal (Newton), Allie Potter (Circle) and Ryan Stearns (Andover Central).
Unfortunately Cooks was injured in the second tournament and missed the final day.
They competed against 64 teams in the top division of the “Super 64” and placed seventh. The second tournament, the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet, consisted of 35 teams, with the Kansas All-Stars taking third.
The team has two more events on tap, playing a tournament in Wichita before wrapping up with the Adidas Summer Championship in Atlanta, Ga.
