3 Hesston spikers make CKL 1st team

Hesston’s Talby Duerksen was the lone unanimous selection to the Central Kansas League volleyball first team announced today.

Duerksen was joined on the first team by teammates Rylie Schilling and Elise Kaiser. The Swathers took fourth in the 3A state tourney.

Also on the first team were Morgan Stout and Cyra Kelly of Nickerson, Kierson Maydew and Rheagan Hoover of Pratt and Maydson Beckett of Halstead.

Hesston’s Celbi Richardson made the second team, along with Smoky Valley’s Bri Franklin.

Hesston’s Jada Mininger earned honorable mention, as did Smoky Valley’s Abby Rose and Emmie Ryals.
