Central Christian College’s softball team came away with a split of a Sooner Athletic Conference twinbill with Panhandle State here on Saturday.
The Tigers doubled the Aggies 6-3 in the first game as Jessica Aldana was 3 for 4 with two RBIs. The game was tied until the sixth when the Tigers plated three runs.
Cheyann Sales was the winner.
Central was well on its way to a sweep as it led Game 2 4-0 going into the fifth, but the Aggies came up with six runs for the 6-5 win.
Cassidy Pitts topped the Tigers with two hits. Shiloh Burns threw four scoreless innings before running into trouble in the fifth.
The Tigers are now 7-18 in the SAC and 13-24 overall. They host Texas Wesleyan on Tuesday.
